It's been a pretty darn indifferent (okay, horrible) start to summer with single-digit temps, weeks of drizzle and no sun to speak of. The last few days have been a bit better so the Lovely R decided to document what, if anything, was going on in the upper garden.
^ The lavetera mallow has leant right out to one side, smothering a nice young Bourbon rose I just planted and generally making a bloody nuisance of itself, but I don't have the heart to chop it down. I think this dahlia is Bishop of Llandalf or something like that. It's impressive purple with fire-red flowers late in the season. > |
